What is Dancong Wulong?
Dancong is one type of Oolong/Wulong Teas grown in the Phoenix Mountains in Guangdong province, it is also called phoenix Oolong. Dan means single, Cong is Bush, and each grown from the seed carries a unique and identical trait. The original Dancong bushes are grown independently and randomly in the wild, many Dancongs are blended from different planted or semi-wild bushes, to reach a balanced intensity of bitterness, flavor, and taste.

Dancong Wulong/Oolong is called drinkable perfume in China, it has one of the widest and richest aroma spectrums out of other types of teas made by Camellia Sinensis. Since it is one of our favorite types of tea, our motivation is to take your tea experience to a deeper level through our tasting sets.
Phoenix Mountains located in Chaozhou in Guangdong is a coastal province of southeast China with a sub-tropical marine monsoon climate, characterized by a warm climate, abundant sunshine and rainfall. The annual average temperature is about 21.4 degrees. The Phoenix Mountain's main peak is about 1500m above sea level, the growing environment of Phoenix Oolong is also very rocky, many tea trees are grown in between the rocks, which forms mineral content in many varietals.

2018 Wudong Songzhong
Songzhong Phoenix Wulong was named by a kind of descendant tree that was planted in the Song dynasty (ca. 900 years ago), it is considered one of the most ancient arbors.
