About the Event

This Tea Tour is organized by Lian Xue, partly coordinated with a tea school that will take us to some exclusive places such as protective zones and research centers.

Highlights:

From tea farmers to tea factories, we will experience different type of tea manufacturers from different perspectives. We will also visit potters and join workshops.

Chaozhou

where is one of the origins of Gong Fu Cha and Dancong Oolong Tea.

Wuyi Mountain

where the first black tea and oolong tea were made. We will also experience the making of Yancha.

Yunnan

Travel to the ancient forests, touch and pick the Pu’er leaves, collect different varietals. Visit one of the oldest tea tree (3200 years old) in Feng Qing, please find more highlights in the video or just join us!

Day 1

Arrival in Guangzhou, visit tea houses and tea masters. Have dinner at traditional Dim Sum Teahouse, we will see the sightseeings of Guangzhou such as Guangzhou tower.

Day 2

Guangzhou to Chaozhou. Workshop: Experience Authentic Gong Fu Cha.

Day 3

Visit Phoenix Mountain and Dancong Tea farmers.

Day 4

Heng Tai Agriculture LLC, organic Dancong Oolong tea picking, and tea professional will show us about processings. We will have tea tasting. (Hengdao Tea just received two prizes in France/AVPA.fr)

Wuyi, Fujian

Day 5

Heading to Wuyi Mountain, walk in the wondrous mountains (like in Avatar), pick teas and watch Impression of Da Hong Pao outdoor performance in scenic at night.

Day 6

Walk in Wuyi Mountain main terrior, we will have Yancha tea making experience.

Day 7

Visit Tongmu village protective area -  experience the making of Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong(Lapsang Souchong) - the first black tea in the world. Have outdoor tea sessions in the mountain.

Day 8

Jiuqu river bamboo raft experience, Wuyi Mountain to Kunming (airplane).

Yunnan

Day 9

Kunming to Lincang via high speed train, learn about Lincang terrior and the most famous teas.

Day 10

Visit Feng Qing, learn and taste the original Dian Hong(Yunnan Black Tea).

Day 11

Visit 3200 years old tea tree in Feng Qing and local farmers, arrival in Lincang.

Day 12

Visit Bing Dao, one of the most famous but mysterious Pu’er tea terrior. We will have well selected tea tasting.

Day 13

Visit Shennong Temple (tea was first discovered by the legendary Chinese emperor and herbalist Shennong in 2737 BCE). Wander in Mengku Big Snow Mountain.

Day 14

From Shuangjiang to Jingmai. Visit Jingmai Mountain Investment Group - a part of supports that helped Jingmai to apply the UNESCO heritage.

Day 15

Watch the sunrise in Jingmai, visit Jingmai Mountain Ancient Tea Forest (tea farmers).

Day 16

Visit Lao Ban Zhang terrior and farmers. Arrive in Menghai.

Day 17

Visit Yunnan Tea Research Institute and scholars will show us about Pu’er tea backgrounds, cultivations and more. Visit Nan Nuo ancient forest.

Day 18

Dai pottery workshop in Xishuangbanna.

Day 19

Tea tasting and goodbye party in Xishuangbanna. You could choose to leave earlier or travel more in Yunnan, just let us know in advance.

Amount of participants:

at least 5, maximum 9.

Our travel package includes

1. Accommodation. 19 days and 18 nights in selected nice hotels.

2.Transportation. All the internal transportation are included.

3.Meals, 3 meals daily in hotel, local style or well known places.

The dates are specifically chosen to let us to witness the tea harvest season to participate in crucial stage of tea production.

*Flights. Flights from/to your country of origin are not included, but we provide the service to book the tickets.

*Visas. We support your application for visas if needed.

*Insurance, optional tours, shows, tips and personal expenses are not included.

*Flow. Since tea is a natural product, harvest times may vary, and there might have different situations, so we kindly ask to reserve the right to adapt the program at short notice if necessary.
