Ya'an Zangcha, aka Tibetan tea is a type of dark tea (heicha) that is made of fermented tea leaves and twigs compressed into bricks and enclosed in bamboo. This ancient form of tea is an essential drink for Tibetans since it provides energy, vitamins that are missing in their diets.

This post-fermented Heicha aged for a few years in Sichuan where it has been produced, it transformed well and grew out natrual golden flower.  The liquor is silky and round, with pleasant woody flavors while passing through the dates, oatmeal and camphor wood undertones.
